I am the founder and Lead Practitioner of Aroha Touch, established in 2016 to support the hauora (wellbeing) of tangata and whānau through traditional Rongoā Māori practices.

My journey began in 2012 with my first Romiromi experience while hapū. A later matakitenga (spiritual vision) redirected my path, reconnecting me with my ancestral lineage of tohunga and ariki. My mahi continues to be guided by Io and Wairua Tapu.

Since 2017, I have been guided and mentored by Wikitoria Oman, with much of my knowledge developed through years of hands-on Romiromi practice.

I specialise in Romiromi, Te Rau Aroha Kawakawa Poulticing, Mirimiri, Hapū Tangata and other traditional Rongoā Māori practices. I also support Wikitoria in Romiromi training as a Kaiāwhina and will be facilitating a Romiromi Wānanga series alongside Mihaka Hohua, based in Kirikiriroa.

My passion is to support and empower tangata and whānau to reconnect, restore balance and strengthen their wellbeing.

I am a dedicated Rongoā trainee assistant here at Aroha Touch.

I'm very passionate about traditional Māori healing. I'm currently studying to become a skilled practitioner, offering romiromi, rongoā, and other holistic massage services.

My goal is to provide natural health solutions that nurture tinana (body), hinengaro (mind), and wairua (spirit).

I'm committed to supporting others on their healing paths with compassion and care.

I am currently assisting Aroha Touch with bookings alongside of my training.

ROMIROMI

Romiromi is a healing art of ancient traditional Māori bodywork based on universal principles.

Romiromi involves deep bodywork to help align the body, release or unblock deeply-held tension and restore function. We facilitate techniques by applying pressure on the haemata (specific body points) for aligning the spine and joints, incorporating an ancient Karakia called kaupare and counselling.

Additionally, tools such as kōhatu (stones) are utilized and the muscles, tissues, blood, bone and fluids are worked on through agitation using hands, feet, elbows, and body weight.

Our traditional Maori bodywork deeply affects the central nervous system on a cellular level, revitalizing all bodily systems to facilitate a return to a more harmonious state of being.

Romiromi provides a life-changing and grounding experience.

1-hour sessions include:

Initial consultation (whakawhanaungatanga)
Facilitate the release of tension
For the client to commit to making changes in their life

If approved quote my number VBH856 for Rongoa Maori treatment; be it a sensitive claim, a physical injury or a severe injury claim. ACC will send a purchase order once your application is approved.
